This medicine comes from the secretion of the giant green monkey tree frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor) of South America. The frog, with its vibrant green color, lives mainly in the jungles of Acre, in the northeast of Brazil, but can also be found in Bolivia, Colombia, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela.
